Space Engineers 2......Multiplayer "Mod"?
A supposed multiplayer mod plugin recently came about for Space Engineers 2, made by the "developer", LucaSkywalker.
The mod in question is called "SE2MP".
While this is cool and all, the "developer" is keeping it closed source. Additionally, the developer is "licensing out" the plugin for players to be able to host server, however joining servers "is always free". Seems pretty legit.....not.
I'm pretty sure the Space Engineers 2 EULA, around section 2, has something to say about this?
Keen Software House: Modding. Notwithstanding the restrictions contained herein, you may modify, create derivative works, and redistribute limited portions of the Game’s software and assets (“Mods”) solely for use within the Game, provided that such Mods are distributed exclusively to users who have legally obtained access to the Game. Redistribution of original art assets (textures, models, fonts, etc.) is permitted only where necessary to create your Mods. All Mods must be clearly marked as modified works, must credit us appropriately, and may not be misrepresented as original software. Commercial use of Mods is prohibited without our explicit written permission. For the avoidance of doubt, this provision is without prejudice to your obligations regarding Mods as set forth in Section 9. For further details and requirements related to creating and distributing Mods, please refer to our official Modding Guides at https://2.spaceengineersgame.com/modding-guides/.
The developer is also refusing to open source the plugin, even when users are skeptical to run a random executable found on a Discord server. Not to mention, what they are currently doing goes against KSH's EULA, etc.
As you can see, I'm not the only individual to question this "plugin"/"mod".

And just a few minutes ago, while writing this post....I get banned from their Discord server!

I'll update the blog post as this goes on.
Here's a link to their Reddit post, btw.
